Mercer County Board chairwoman ousted

MERCER COUNTY, Ill.--Mercer County voters unseated board chairman Maxine Henry of Keithsburg in Tuesday's election.

According to The Dispatch/Rock Island Argus, Henry received only 28 percents of the votes in District 1. She was defeated in District 1 by Jeff McWhorter with 787 votes. George Howard had 684 votes.

In District 2, Dr. Brian Anseeuw, and Gary Gregg were the winners.  Anseeuw had 769 while Gregg with735 votes.

Larry Stone and Tedd Pappas Jr. defeated incumbents Ron Fullerlove and Dave Maynard in District 3. Stone finished with 906 votes, Pappas Jr. with 791.

In District 4, Fred Rooth and Daniel Schroeder were the winners with 798 and 676 votes.

And in District 5, incumbents Bill Olson and Tom Haines retained their seats with 1,090 and 790 votes.
