JOY, Ill.--On December 31, 2012, Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a loud noise complaint at 747 105th Street in Joy, Illinois.Upon arrival, officers realized that the loud noise was coming from a large New Year’s Eve party where underage drinking was involved. No one at the party was over the legal drinking age. According to WRMJ, thirty Mercer County ordinance citations were issued for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

The 19 year old host of the party, Dylan Ridgway, was charged with unlawful consumption by a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Ridgway was serving alcohol to minors ranging in age from 14-to-20 years old.
